Special
Meeting
The special meeting of Council was held on
January 9th, 2003 at the Jocelyn Municipal Office. In attendance were
Reeve Micheline Yandeau, Councillors Mavis Chisholm, David Bates, Ron Wierzbicki,
Bob Lailey as well as the Clerk.

Resolved that we do call this special meeting
of Council to Order.
Cd.
Doug Thompson, the Applicant in Consent
Application 09/02, was in attendance to provide Council with additional
information regarding the application.
Council passed the following resolution
regarding the Ducks Unlimited project that would provide mapping and evaluation
of wetlands in the Central Algoma area.

Resolved that we do not approve the request
from Ducks Unlimited for financial support.

Several by-laws were tabled for discussion and
revision and are tentatively scheduled for passing at the March 2003 meeting of
Council. The by-laws included an amended Procedural By-law, Roads Classification
By-law, a Confirming By-law, a Fee Schedule By-law and a Sale of Land Procedural
By-law. Also presented for Council’s information was a Land Registry of
Municipally owned property.
The passing of a Property Standards by-law was
discussed. It was agreed to defer this matter indefinitely, as it did not
provide the authority to control the areas of concern.
